You can apply with an active ABN and a deposit from $3,000. There is no credit check to apply: bad credit, no credit history and new arrivals on a visa are all assessed on their current situation.
Do I need an ABN for rent to own?
Yes. Rent to own is a business product, so the application asks for an active 11-digit ABN. Without one, long term hire is the option: it needs no ABN.
Is there a credit check for rent to own?
There is no credit check to apply. Bad credit or no Australian credit history does not rule you out: we look at your ABN, deposit, weekly budget and any previous payment defaults, and assess each application individually.
How much deposit do I need for rent to own?
From $3,000. A deposit of 20% or more of the car's drive-away price speeds up approval, so on a $35,000 car, $7,000 or more down moves faster. The exact amount depends on the car.
Can I apply on a visa or as a new arrival?
Yes. International students, temporary visa holders and permanent residents can apply, and no Australian credit history is needed. The ABN is still required.
